Updated July 4 and 5, 2009 (362 last images added). This gallery gives an impression of the Army Base (Legerbasis) Leopoldsburg, Belgium. This Military Base houses the First Brigade (Eerste Brigade) containing different units, regiments and companies of the Belgian Army, among others: the Company "Driving-School North", a tank batallion (2/4 Regiment Lansiers), the Regiment Carabiniers-Grenadiers, the Center for Medical Operations (Centrum voor Medische Operaties Nr 1, CMO1), a commando unit (8/9 Linie), a batallion logistics (18 Bataljon Logistiek), an infantry batallion (Regiment Bevrijding - 5 Linie), a scout or recce batallion (1JP or 1 Jagers te Paard - Gidsen). The turret and cannon (remotely operated self defence station (ROSS) 12,7 mm) mounted on top of the MultiPurpose Protected Vehicle (MPPV) Dingo II by the German manufacturer Krauss-Maffei-Wegmann (KMW). This vehicle is introduced in the Belgian Army since the end of 2006 in 5 different versions.
