The Campo Santo cemetery in Sint-Amandsberg in the outskirts of Ghent (Gent), Belgium is one of the most renown and beautiful cemeteries in Belgium. Here are burried many famous people (poets, composers, writers, artists etc.) like Karel van de Woestijne, Charles Doudelet, Karel Ledeganck, Frans Masereel, Corneille Heymans and many many other Belgian celebrities. More than 130 gravestones are protected monuments. The cemetery needs a lot of restoration and renovation -- and the necessary funds. The nocturne was organized by some 100 pupils of the Sint-Janscollege, a school located next to the cemetery. They've done a marvellous and most appreciated job by organizing such an exquisite and successful multimedia event. Please note that Original formats are disabled to protect my images from theft.
