Luc De Jaeger > Het Steen (The Stone), a castle built in the 13th Century, near the Scheldt River and not far from the Market Square. It got its name because it once was the only building made in stone. It might be the oldest building in Antwerp and part of the western fortifications of the Holy Roman Empire. Most of the time it has been a prison but currently it houses the Nationaal Scheepvaartmuseum (Belgian National Maritime Museum).
